Also I was wondering if anyone could give me an age references based on the size in comparison to a tortoise you know the age of.

They all grow at different rates and for a wide variety of reasons. There is no way to know the age based on size. You have to know the hatch date.

Its a very nice looking tortoise regardless of age.

Hi! i’m not sure about gender but I have a dalmatian herman’s tortoise that was hatched october 1st of 2023 so he’s 4 months old right now, I’ll attach a picture of him currently for size comparison, yours looks a little bigger so i’d guess he/she may be around a year old or so im no expert though lol, hope this helps!
