Help with sexing?

These are my first Box Turtles, I've read up on sexing and it may be too soon to tell with Blaze, but I think Shelby (or Sheldon?) should be old enough. They were adopted out to me as two females, but I have doubts.

Shelby has a long hinged back claw, that I read they use to grab the female. She/he also has the characteristic red eyes:

(She/he does have a damaged plastron from an injury but it's healing nicely, I wonder if it may have any effect on using the plastron shape for sexing, though.)

Any ideas from the more experienced owners, or should I just impatiently wait it out? :tort:

Thanks for all the help!!! Well, apparently Shelby is a Sheldon after all. And a sexist one at that, I swear he hates me...peed on me yesterday, LOL. :D
