Help! So many hatchlings!

I have a pond in my back yard by pond I mean my dad made a lake. We live in Louisiana so RES come from bayous and come in our pond. I have raised a few babies till they are about four inches. To give them a head start. Today we found 8! I have a 200 gallon pond near my tortoise enclosure. I want to keep them in there until I see them eat to get a head start. How many can I keep in there to give them the best head start?

Do you have filtration in it?

I would think at least all eight, their only babies, so 200 gallons should be good. Now if it were an indoor aquarium, it might be a different story.
