im currently building the huge insulated sully house and I've came to a hauls as I don't know how to hinge the door?!
Because it is heavily insulated the wall thickness is around 12cm/4.7inches so the door is going to catch and jam as it swings open!
I'm not sure how to get around this, I don't want to undo all the insulation by leaving big gaps
ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED

@laney Depending upon the width of the door, it should not catch that much as it opens with a wide arc. The narrower the door and arc opening, the more problem you will have.

You can either step the jamb and door side, or angle it to solve this. To step it, you could run a 1/2" x 2" strip of wood down the inside of the jamb, and then a similar piece down the outside edge of the side of the door. Then put some weatherstripping along the edge where the 1/2" edges meet as the door closes.door jamb question.jpg
