I know it's a bit over-due but I'm here now! So I thought I'd introduce myself for y'all =P.. To start, I live in Los Angeles, California... I have 4 juvenile sulcatas and 5 adult Russians... They have seperate habitats and don't come in contact, ever. I'm looking into adopting an adult sulcata. There have been a few at local shelters, but they all been much to small. I worry that they will get 'lost' in a hedge or in a pile of hay! I hand had vets come out and show me specifically how to tortoise-proof my yard. That was when we were looking in adopting an Aldabra.. Now I've decided I'm going to stick with the two species I'm familiar with. Tortoises are a big part of my daily life and I've realized they've taken over everything. And I don't regret anything =) If you read through all of this- Thank you very much. Tortoises do seem to start taking over all parts of your life, don't they?
