My name is Evelyn. I live in Dublin and am the proud mother of a male Russian tortoise named Sandy. Sandy is a hyperactive tame tortoise who hates fruit and baths with a passion. I joined this forum because Sandy sometimes does very strange inexplicable things that I need help with. I look forward to being on this site!

My leo acts like it hates baths too, but it's hilarious what happens when bath time is over. It gets so invigorated afterwards that it circles the enclosure about 5 or 6 times, munches on his dinner, circles around another few times, back to dinner....and so on until it wears itself out and falls asleep. Closest thing I've ever seen to a tortoise running. Looks like a little Volkswagen Beetle racing the Indy 500. This happens every day. lol
