Hi I am Robert from the suncoast of Florida, and I have a Sulcata that I have had for 17 years now (since a hatch-ling). I named him Bowser which seems to be a common name. He reminded me of Bowser from Super Mario Cart. He has taken to not letting do anything in his cage, he tries to head butt and will even try and bite any tools I am using. I have an 8'x10' enclosure I keep him in but I am getting worries it is to small. This is a picture of him as an adult and a baby.TurtleAdult.jpg Turtle.jpg

Hello and welcome.

He definitely needs a much larger enclosure. What is his approximate weight and length? He needs to be living outside with a secure heated night box for nights and winter.

Hi Robert, and welcome to the Forum!

You've done a great job raising up a very good-looking sulcata tortoise.

Welcome to Tortoise Forum.
I think you know already that the problem is space.
These are big animals and need the maximum amount of room to wander.
But I also know it's not possible for all of us.
Do the best you can, every inch is better!
