Heat tape

ok, can heat tape be used as a heat source in a humid hide? I am looking to put it on the lid of the hide.

I haven’t seen any posts of heat tape being used like this, especially for tortoises.

If you can, look to put a Reptile Basics Radiant Heat Panel on the roof of the enclosure above the hide.
