A picture would help. What is the wattage of the heater? You can go to the hardware store and get a bare bones incandescent light bulb socket for a couple bucks. For a little more you can get an adjustable one so you can mount on the side and fix the angle. Just make sure it is equal to or greater than the wattage of the CHE. If your electrically inclined the install should be painless.
I'd install the tube on the other side and wire both electronics through holes rather than running wires from inside to out. Id wire each to one plug, mount a power bar to the enclosure in between the two holes and only have one wire to the wall outlet. The CHE MUST be plugged into a thermostat because mounting it means you will have no control over the temperature like you do when its outside and you can move it around as you please. Plug the che to a thermostat then the thermostat to the power strip.

Do not put a Che or a MVB on a cheap plastic light socket. It has to be a ceramic light socket or you run a good risk of fire. Now as for putting them inside the enclosure. A picture or description of the type of enclosure would help. I use large tote boxes. I cut a hole in the lid that the mob and the Che can hang over. I line the rim of the hole with tin foil to prevent the plastic lid from melting. I then can even rest the dome of either one on the plastic lid if I need to.

Don't worry all my light socket are ceramic(I know that a big fire risk!)... I don't have a picture 'cause I"m building it. It's pretty much just four piece of wood right now. I"m thinking of using screw hooks and hanging it that way.

when people say "ceramic" socket are you talking about porcelain sockets? Hanging is a good idea as well and gives more variability of temperature

I hang my domed fixtures from rubber coated coffee cup holder hooks. You will need at least 24" of inside height to do this, but 30" would be better. Also, you will need much lower wattage CHEs and bulbs since ALL of your heat will be staying inside the enclosure. In my 4x8x2' closed chambers, I use 65 watt flood bulbs for basking and 60 watt CHEs. My garage gets into the 50s in winter, and this keeps the enclosure at 80 all night with no problems.

Thermostats on your CHEs are a must.

24" of height= check
This is good 'cause my CHEs are only 60w, and I have a thermostats that hook up too a heat rope, heat rope not using, somewhere in storage. So, I pretty much have everything, good. Only downside I have to go into storage.
