Heat Emitters

Are those Zoo med ceramic heat emitters supposed to cycle on and off on their own? Is there an over heat protection built into them that causes this?

Not that I have heard of...... Maybe you can call Zoo Med to make sure it is not defective.

I dont believe so, but you can put a timer on them. I run mine 24/7 without a problem. I believe they self regulate.
