Hatching!? Maybe, help!

so my little tortoise with a patch shell had broken his membrane and was waving and breathing so I removed the shell around him and misted (he was pretty dry.... Has snapped and hissed, so he seems vigorous. Now just let him be in his shell with his yolk and wait and see???

Watch him like a hawk. It looks like he is significantly smaller than the egg shell. This may be indicative of a weak hatchling. Keep him in the incubator as long as possible to make sure he has a strong start.
