Hello fellow tortoise lovers!
From a young age, I was drawn to tortoises and turtles. My first encounter was around age four, when my mother would drag me along to her chiropractic sessions at a private residence that was also the home of three baby desert tortoises. The time would pass quickly with my eyes locked on the little tortoises climbing small rocks that seems like boulders in scale. I can still remember the smell of their enclosure, nothing offensive, only different from the smell of the cats that lived at my home.
Always dreamt of having my own desert tortoise, and someday I will.
In college I made a nice friend in a design class who was seeking a home for her Ornate Box Turtle, I gladly offered and am now lucky to care for my little gem, Audrey.
Desert natives now residing in Los Angeles. Audrey and I are together for life
attachment: Audrey pictured in the mountains at her summer retreat.
