I just introduced a smaller Indian star to my 2 other male Indian stars. Since I got the new one, a lot of activity and pushing around the little one. What should I do ? Is this just because the tort is new and it will subside ?
First, two males should not be housed together.
Second, seeing the two males need to be separated and tortoises should not live in pairs, then each one of your tortoises need it's own enclosure.
Also, you should always quarantine a new tortoise for 3 to 6 months. Adding a tort without quarantine could cause a wipeout.
Separate them all asap.
It is very stressful for torts to share confined spaces it could cause illness, injury and even death.
It doesn't matter if they are same sex, male/female or siblings, they are solitary creatures.
