I just wanted to share a few pictures of some recent snake action over here. First time breeding this pair so I am excited to see what comes of it.

Wish me luck.

Are they the same breed? One looks like what I call a racer. The other looks like a different breed.

They are both Taiwan Beauty Snakes. The male is the nicer of the two in my opinion. He has the nice bright gold colors, while the female is darker and silvery.

Great pictures! I don't know anything about those snakes, but they are very pretty. Haven't gotten into breeding snakes but could be in the near future. Good luck and can't wait to see pics of little snakeys

Wow
Congratulations -your house is getting busier in a hurry!
Do the eggs incubate themselves or will you remove them and place them in an incubator?
They look like they are protective of the eggs too?
Good Luck
What is the incubation time length?

(I have to wait 11.5 months for my alpacas!!:(:(:()

Do snake eggs grow as the baby grows? My crested Geckos eggs grow quite a lot as they incubate. I wonder if tortoise eggs do the same?

Thanks everyone.

To be honest, I didn't count how many she had. I will go down tomorrow and take a look. I am going to try and leave the eggs in her enclosure with her to see if they do good. The previous owner stated that he incubated them in an incubator and had a small hatch rate, and the ones the did hatch we're kinked or deformed - so I figured these guys live in cooler temperatures in the wild that I would just try room temperature to see how it does. As it is I have not checked if they are even fertile yet either.

Louise, I am looking at about 60 days for them to hatch - and that's based off a warmer then room temperature. At room temperature I could expect them to go a little longer. The eggs do grow as they incubate.

I'll be sure to update.

Well, turns out none of the eggs are fertile. Ohwell, theres always next year.

:(

Turn that frown upside down. :)

First year breeding them myself, previous owner had bred them many times (last year infact). I'll probably give her the next season to bulk up and try again.
