I've had my Russian for almost 13 years now. He eats only lettuce. I have tried every trick, he will go weeks without eating. I do however rotate the type of lettuce. He is very picky on texture too. If it's a rubbery type he wont touch it. Romaine, red leaf and green leaf lettuces are most of his diet. Occasionally he will try something new but not often. I was told he looks very healthy considering his diet.
