Here's a picture of my tortoise's new enclosure! It is made out of a garden planter table.

Your tortoise will be more active if it has more light. You can spread the two lights out a little farther apart on one end of the table and you could hang a fluorescent or LED light over the other end. That would add light without adding heat.
