For some reason my account has been banned!!!!!

My account has been banned, but i used a computer that i left on, and and writing this now. It said:" I'm sorry, but you are banned. You may not post, read threads, or access the forum. Please contact the administrator should you have any questions."

Thats what it said for everything i try, even if i try to log out or so anything!

I also never received email notifications about this either

I hate to point out the obvious but your posts seem to be coming through just fine. I also don't see your name on the ban list.

Ok I am not 100 percent positive but if you are perhaps using different computers it may think you are trying to use multiple accounts, I would contact josh just to make sure.

make sure you log out from one computer before using another one to sign in

I suggest you clear out the cache and delete cookies on the computer where you are having problems and see if you can log back in successfully.

I have never tried to log on with two different computers, I have however been logged on with safari on my iPad and my computer simultaneously. I always forget to close safari!

I'm logged on to a computer an IPod touch and my iPhone... it's never caused a problem. That's why I suggested clearing the cache and cookies from the PC... it may be a local corruption causing the problem.

My IP range is also banned. I am posting from my phone.

I've had this problem on a number of forums.

It started a few weeks ago after we changed ISPs and got a new IP address. Is there a plugin that this forum uses to blacklist spamming IPs?

I'm having to use a proxy to read this thread and post this message!

Your name - al_scott - is not on the banned list either. Did you receive the same banned message that the OP did? Because you are brand new you have to wait until you've made 5 posts before they show up without a moderator having to approve them.

I also log in at home, at work and on my phone with no issues. Darn it. Sorry you are having trouble. There are some great people on here, I am sure someone can get it fixed.

Yes, I got the same banned message as the OP. At the time, it was my first visit to the site, so I hadn't even registered. So it's not a username ban - I guess it's related to my IP address.
