This little purple flower grew from the midst of various clovers and medic...what is it and is it edible?

You know I could swear (%^%$) that it is ornamental garlic.

There's a lot going on in that picture: I kinda thought clover for the pink flowers and it looks like a lawnmower chewed up leaf of clover in the top part of the foreground focus of that picture, but i can't really tell if they are connected or not.

I also think the flower is clover. I have two or three kinds growing and one is a red clover. I also get flowers that look like that.

It's only the flower I was referring to...as I said, it's just sitting in the clover. But, I thought red clover would be red...this is more lavendar!

Ahh finally I get to use something that I learned growing up on the farm:p:
There are hundreds of different types of clovers (trefoils). Here in the U.S. the most common species is Dutch Clover which produces white and pink flowers. Other species produce various shades of purple and some yellow flowers.

:D ... and some are short and others really tall, too. :D
