Food dish.

So i didn't know if this question belonged here or with enclosure so sorry if its in the wrong spot. But i use a terra cotta dish for Oliver's food spot. I want to use a slate of some sort so that he can eat on a larger and flatter surface. Dose anyone have any suggestions on what i could use ? Thanks

When remodeling our kitchen granite/tile supply places had many that were broken you could take.
