I just wanted to make anyone who isn't aware of www.flickr.com that you can find beautiful photos of tortoises from around the world "in the wild". Here is a recent example of two BEAUTIFUL adult leopard tortoises p.pardalis in their natural environment in south africa. It's a male chasing around a big beautiful female. Enjoy

btw if you are a lover of south african leopard tortoises you can search Addo Elephant National park tortoise and find several dozen photos of both young and adult p.pardalis in the wild.

Wow!!! If I remember correctly, you live here in Louisiana? I do too- I thought I couldn't keep leopards because they need an arid climate or else they get respiratory infections.
It seems that may be a mistaken belief???

Yep I'm from south Louisiana and my leopards do just fine. I wouldn't avoid getting some if you really wanted some.
