I can't get my two 4 or 5" RES to catch/eat fish living with them.
I have a few feeder goldfish that have grown quite a bit now and some guppies that multiplied to over 200 because no one would eat them!

We will buy feeder fish at Petsmart and dump them into the tank once a while, our RES are scare of them for the first couple days and then figured out that was food.....Then the feeder fish will be gone one at a time for the next few days, some very smart feeder fish will survive more then a week then they will be all gone.

Our RES is now 11 years old and about 7~8 inches long.

We cared for a RES for awhile...this slider would go into the water, catch the fish, walk up and out of the water onto the top of the ramp and lay the fish there then would go back into the water...was the funniest thing, would never eat them...only catch and set out....

The RESs here love live worms and they also love Mazuri (feed them a few each with long tongs)....

For some reason our RES will only eat fry or gold colored fish. Anything else is scary and weird.

I had a couple bottom feeders in with my aquatic turtles for 5yrs. Both the turtles and the fish grew into adults together. I thought they were buddies, lol.

THEN I came home one day to find the fish shredded and eaten! Guess I was wrong!!
