Tonight (1/8/14) the first ever (known) nesting from a Sicilian Spurred Testudo hermanni hermanni in the USA occurred. She laid 3 eggs for us and we're very hopeful.
I've been patiently waiting for this rare strain to begin producing and it happened way quicker than I thought.
Also hoping she's started a trend for the other females...
