First time tortoise owner!

Hello! I'm so glad I came across this forum, it's awesome that there is even an app for it! We are adopting out first tortoise, a young Burmese Mountain tortoise, from a local rescue. We live in South Florida. As we plan his or her outdoor home, I am wondering about their general climbing and burrowing habits. I'm happy to receive any first-hand, knowledge, advice or suggestions as the rescue said this is the first they have ever received of this kind and are not very well versed in their tendencies. Hi and welcome! It's funny as I was reading your post and saw the type of tortoise, I was thinking now that's not a common one in a rescue, then you wrote that they also said the same thing. How big is he at this point?

He is still rather small, not more than 8 inches long.
