Finally ate cactus!!

He finally ate cactus!! I've been trying for months and it's like something in him just clicked. I swear I looked like this kid when he ate it lol

But I had a question he seems to have trouble ripping the outter layer of cactus should I cut the putter layer off?

I offer my baby tort cactus in strips. I cut a piece off the pad about as wide as my finger. Working at the tougher skin of the cactus builds muscle and helps keep that beak healthy in a young/ small tortoise. I would not peal it.

I had that some thought about them building up strength cause I understand in the wild nothing comes easy so a little challenge shouldn't hurt him then lol. Thank u for the info
