female greek tortoise

Hello, I would like to buy a female greek tortoise. I checked in Petsmart but they have Russians. I also checked on craigslist nobody had any tortoises for sale

There are several reputable breeders on here who will sell you an animal in much better condition than those from a pet store

Also, is there a particular reason for wanting a female?

They don't do well in pairs and in any case must be kept separately in quarantine for a good 6 months from any other torts you have.

They're also impossible to sex until they're near full size. They all look female to start.
