Eye concern

The past couple of days I've noticed that one of Irwin's eyes always has food and/or dirt stuck it it. I clean it off, and after he is done eating or roaming around - it's back - the same eye. I'm concerned he may have an infection. I'm extremely limited on vets - I live in a rural community where our local vet does not treat "exotic" pets. I'm going to post some pics I took tonight. Any advice would be most welcome. If I have to take a journey to find a qualified vet I certainly will. Just seeking advice...the first 2 is the eye I'm concerned about. The last is his "good" eye.image.jpegimage.jpeg

Sulcatas tend to have runny eyes, hence the nickname "Crying Tortoise." It might be as simple as a wet eye attracting substrate.

Thanks! I did not know that. I will still an 'eye' on it though.
