Hi every one,
I have a rescue tort I've had for a little over a month. She has been living outside and I thought that it would help her nails as well. Today I decided to bring all the torts in to see what arrangements I need to make for Winter. See who gets along and who doesn't. Any ways Gobbles nails are way long and bent all different directions so I'm going to get pics for you all. She can't even use her back legs to stand she uses them to push herself kinda scoot. Going to take pics be back soon.

Thanks

Apparently some of the front ones broke off which is good news they were horrible. Oh and there all Redfoots lol forgot to say that.

Hi Jessica:

I hope you're giving your guys plenty of calcium. Curly nails is one symptom of Metabolic Bone Disease. It takes a very long time for them to get over it. If you take the tortoise to a very bright light, you can see the line inside the nail where the blood is. It makes it easier to clip those nails in a very bright light.

One of my least favorite chores!

Yes I had ferrets and had to clip every week lol!!! But this girl came to me like this and they never gave her any of the calcium supplements I do give them to her but maybe to late. She is almost 14 yrs old and can't really use her back legs. UHG people just tick me off they just get pets and leave them n a container or whatever do no research and they suffer :(

Wish u where here lol I don't know that I can do her nails since there black I will try :(
