Can anyone recommend a thermostat that will last outside in the 'tortoise house'? We have a kane heat mat 36 x 18 (110 volts). Thanks.

What does the thermometer read when placed directly on it?

How about when a sheet of pegboard or thin plywood is placed over it?

we set the thermometer to read the high and the low throughout the day. Torts were banned from the enclosure. it went up to 113F.
