Yeah for some reason mine are late. They do get sold after they are 3-4 months old, and doing well. babcocki usually are around 80-110.

Well had a another clutch laid. But this time I am leaving them in the ground inside their portion of the greenhouse. I probed soil temps and they are right at 77 with a variation of low 80s during warm days. Humidity in the building is obviously very high 80-100%. We will see what happens with them. I know she laid 16 eggs so hopefully 100% will hatch with the in ground method.

I would assume you have never had to worry about diapausing this particular female's eggs?

Ha. I have found with all the species I have and have had. My reds are the pickiest at where they lay. This is obviously as long as each species has a good place to lay. Like the mountains they require quite the adventure alll year long making a nest. But my reds they will be picky as can be. Been keepin me on my toes the past month. Dig and no drop.

Cool. I'd be interested to see how these hatchling compare to the ones you've dug up in terms of activity level and growth rates.
