DT digging nest

My big girl, Bertha, digging a nest. (They never hatch. )

Any idea why they never hatch? Are they viable? I've hatched many in a hovabator over they years when I used to have a pair

I'm told its illegal to incubate them, so I just leave them in the ground. Before she came to me some of her eggs hatched, but they haven't hatched here. Last year I dug them up and they were not fertile.

Well that just sucks, sorry to hear they haven't been fertile..

She finished - laid 7 eggs (that I could tell.)

also males and females are not allowed to be housed in the same enclosure.....as important as the point you made about following the rules about incubating.....:shy:
