Dried blood on head?

We are worried about our tortoise because we've just noticed that she has what looks to be dried blood on the side of her head. What could this be? Is she okay?

You should treat these types of things just the same as if it were one of your kids who came in with the same ailment. Wash it off and inspect it. If it looks like an injury, provide first aid. If it DOES turn out to be an injury, be sure that no flies lay eggs on the spot.
