image.jpg Well my last post didn't get any responses but Bob is doing better! He stopped sitting In His water dish 24/7 when I bumped heat to 90 on hot side even at night. I got him a few days ago from a guy who had him (8") and a yellow (5") in a small terrarium about 3'x2'. They were not getting along. Supprise right! He is eating better and not soaking all the time. When I got him his shell and neck / head looked dried out. He look like he had rot at some point on his plasteron but his sides at lower levels look like "wood". Is that fungus? I will try to post better pics but...I used a tooth brush and cleans it off. Looks better but I'm new to torts and want to do right for him!

I'm glad he's doing better. Check out the read foot/yellow foot care sheets and section. I'm sorry but I can't tell the two apart :) they are both very pretty is all I know.

I have had him only a few days but it seems like his legs spots have gone form yellow to orangish. Is that possible? The enclosure he was in was small and way to dry.

I don't know much about your type of tortoise. But I would speculate that once the tortoise has the proper amount of humidity in the environment their "true colors" would come out.
