I just brought all my turtles because it's going to get in the 30's tonight and started soaking my female and noticed this, it's on both sides and I've never seen it before. I checked my males and they don't have it, could it possibly be eggs?

Never seen anything like that, If I were you I should take it to the vet. Could be painful.

She eats normal, acts normal. She was mating late in the year and that's all I can think it is. I Really have no clue. She seems fine and doesn't act weird when I touch both sides

Good, then not too much to worry about, it seems as if its not an emergency case. Put your mind at rest , but see the vet as soon as you can just in case.

Thanks! I guess she's lucky and will spend the weekend in the house while the others go to the garage.

This morning a staff member told me that there was something wrong with Tom's tummy , I had a problem understanding what he meant , but eventually he said he had seen something white come out:rolleyes:. Tom kept schtum, inside his shell, So as a precaution I took him in a small box inside the house. After a few minutes I heard Tom scratching away, offered a lettuce leaf, which was gratefully accepted , so Tom was declared fit to return to the fold & off he went.:):tort::)

That doesn't look normal, but it also doesn't look like an egg. A vet visit when it's possible to fit that in sounds like a smart idea. Good luck with your turtle. I will be interested to hear what this is.

I looked back at this thread and I think this could be about the time she laid the eggs that just hatched. She is showing signs of this again, it's not as bad yet but I can see where it's starting to bulge out.
