Does my tortoise have mouth rot?

so my tortoise has been having a black crust outside of its mouth, and im not so sure if its mouth rot or if its just eating its own poop? he still eats normally but he just sleeps way more now, ive had it for about a week or two and theres not much vets for tortoises, and im just wondering if its actually mouth rot can i treat it by myself? (this is just a temporary enclosure)

When greens and vegetables are bitten or cut it oxidizes, leaving a dark stain on the tortoise's beak. Nothing to worry about.

thank you so much! i was worried sick since this is my first tortoise and i dont know much haha

Ensure you soak in shallow warm water regularly and he has access to clean water 24 x7 in the enclosure. This helps hydration.
