I have been using 150 watt CHE. It gave out recently. I have 100 watt back up and ordered more 150 watts.

All the CHE bulbs I've had the higher the wattage the bigger the bulb. I cannot remember all the brands I bought.

The new che bulbs came in today and they are smaller than the 100 watt that came from Walmart. It's a Lucky Herps 150 watts. Next to Walmart 100 watts.

Are they different sizes just because it's a different brand. The 250 watt one I had was bigger then the 100 watts. No idea that was brand either.

So is my new 150 miss labeled or is it just because a different brand?

The reviews looked good so I hope it's just better made.

I only use 100 watt and I only buy the name brand ones. They last forever and get hot.
I have used off brand ones before once and they don't last and don't get as hot.
ZooMed I would say the best. Likely more expensive but most of us that use them have not had problems with them or have had them stop working.

Thanks, not sure what brand the one that died was. It only worked a year. Name brand might be worth it.
