What is the show like?

The shows are generally members of that chapter showing their animals and answering questions from the public. You cant buy animals at these events but can meet some good people and contacts. You can get numbers and buy from them at a later date. I just go to look around and take my 89 year old mom, Its hard to get her out of the house. They have guest speakers and books and misc. tortoise stuff for sale

The show was pretty cool, I might have to join that club just to get to know some of those folks. Every October they have breeders that come to sell hatchlings, I guess they refer to it as breeders night.I also got to meet a radiated and Burmese star breeder for future plans. I didnt get alot of pics but got a few, the first pic is going to be of a leopard that was about 15 inches or so. I only know how to post 1 pic at a time so thats why Im going to do it like this. Im electronically challenged, It was a good tortoise day overall. I got home and Bigred is digging and probably will be popping out some eggs. Ive also got 1 pipping

I bought these stepping stones for the garden for 3 dollars each (score)
I bought all 4 of them, they are about 12 inches in diameter

Breeders night sounds cool. I think that chapter is bigger than Chino.

The toenails on the tortoise in the second picture (radiated??) show that the tortoise is starting a little MBD. Curly toe nails is the first sign.

Actually the guy that had all the mixed species was the owner of the spider tortoise as well. I really did not look at them that close I was talking to people and trying to keep an eye on my mom at the same time
