These are the lights I purchased that were recommended at my local pet store. I've recently learned coil bulbs are a no-go. My local pet store doesn't have MVB. Is there an alternative I can get until I can buy one online? My little guy will be here in the morning. Please help! I wanna make sure I have everything for him and that he's happy and healthy.

I will start with the good news.

The basking lamp will provide your basking heat. The Ceramic Heat Emitter is what you need to provide additional heat at night when the other lights are off.

The bad news - that UVB is the compact coil type that damages a tort's eyes. It is not suutable and must not be used.

You need

either a tube UVB lamp something like this

or return both the basking and the compact UVB and buy a Mercury Vapor Bulb something like this which combines both UVB and basking in a single bulb.

It states in my post, that I am now aware the coil lights are bad. I was asking if there is an alternative I can use until the MVB gets here.

Thanks!

Don't worry about it. A few days without UVB isn't going to hurt the animal.
