Hi!

my baby redfoot hatchling is in a tank. normally it is not very hot here, but we are moving into the 2 months where we occasionally have heatwaves. Today his tank was 90 on the cool end. I put a frozen water bottle in there, but the thermometer didn't move much. Is there any other way to drop the temp inside of his tank? *just an fyi there are no more than maybe 10 days where it is very hot where I live. The average temps here are between 50-80 year round. :) OK any help would be greatly appreciated :)

ok i promise this was my last question :)

It's good to ask questions :D
It could be the bulb wattage, too high for your tank! How big is the tank?

I have all my heat lamps hooked up to rheostats. That way I can turn them down if needed (or up). This is the hot time of year for you? This is when it starts getting chillier here!
