Does anyone happen to know if there's a difference between coco coir and coconut fiber? I wasn't able to find coco coir, but did try coconut fiber a while back and it was awful. It was muddy and stuck to my tortoise's feet and eyes, and got stuck in his shell.

Don't know if there is a difference in the material. I think it is only in the cut. I had the same problem of it sticking to the tortoise"s feet and shell. He would track it right through his food and water. Very messy. The problem went away when the fiber got "broken in". Took just of few days of me hand packing it down and finding the right moisture level. After that it wasn't such a big deal. He would still track it through the water dish, just not as much.
