Since Ive been feeding my Sulcata pumpkin he's been walking onto it quite frequently and is now covered in orange. any recommendations on cleaning him? I was just going to use water and paper towels.

I use a soft tooth brush. They shy away at first but then they get into it. I soak them for a bit in warm water and then scrub away. Do not point them at your face when cleaning the back end unless you like to get your face peed on. LOL! I use a wash cloth for the plastron and carapice and the tooth brush for the sticky bits and the face, tail and legs.

Uh, it is a tortoise :D Dirt will do wonders, they muck about in the food, then they muck about in the dirt---it all dries and falls away and is mulched back into the mix...waaaalaaaa....normal tort...no need for washing :D

I like to give WalkingRock a good scrub down before he goes on display in the general public. He doesn't mind when I scrub his back but he REALLY doesn't like it when I flip him over and scrub his plastron!

I just wipe all the yuck away with my hands after a long soak. For small tortoises I also run warm water from the tap over them in the sink. For bigger ones, "...it gets the hose...". :)
