City looking for people to take endangered Desert Tortoises

This was posted in the newspaper a few weeks ago. I happen to live in Washington county so I cannot take them. I thought there may be a few lovers here who would love to care for this endangered species.

I think I read about this a few weeks ago-- Do you know if this is this the case in which they lost their funding to keep them?? (it doesn't really say much in the article... though this one sounds like they've always been up for adoption??) So sad. Wish I lived where I could help... Hope someone does! Thank you for posting it!
