They sometimes make almost hissing noises or squeaking noises if they are startled when being picked up.
However, if she's not otherwise being touched, that might be a sign of respiratory illness. Check for any discharge from the nostrils or discharge from the eyes, or inflamed eyes, deep red or inflamed mouth, open mouth breathing, any discharge like mucus from the mouth.
If she does have a respiratory infection, its not like with humans where we eventually shake it on our own. She will need to see a vet and get Baytril or Marbocyl if it is a respiratory infection.
