That neighbor boy I talked in to letting the box turtle go went to the pet stores with me and he found this turtle.I was told it was a 6 year old Chinese map turtle that was $100 but cause he was using his detassleing money she would let it go for $75. Is that a good deal. Is 6 years an adult and how long do they live?

Looks like it to me. I have no idea what a good price would be, but keep in mind shipping costs need to be figured in when comparing local to one further away.

Not a chinese map turtle, it looks like a wood turtle. They are semi aquatic, it also needs dry land.

Well I need to get it then cause if it's a semi aquatic that's probably not good since it's in an aquarium without any land not even a basking spot.

Atleast it looks like the water is shallow enough he can get part of his shell out of the water. :( Yes, if the friend wants him, I think it would be a huge service to the turtle to get him out of there and into a more appropriate environment.

I would have to say one of the C.A. Wood turtles though I'm not as familiar with them as others on here are.
