What a cute pic!! I Never catch my tortoises zonked out like that ever!!! They bask & will close their eyes for a second or two with their head high up. But they all usually sleep at night time tucked in their shell pressed against a wall or another tortoise. They usually sleep together, stuffed, & crammed next to each other. One day I had to get a flashlight & look at them when they were asleep, just to see. I don't like to bother them, but I was curious!
