Have you looked at all of the recommended threads? Many members have told you to check out care sheets on all of your posts. You have to do some of your own research.

Probably, but you can do it yourself by using the search feature. Also, we have a few care sheets in the "Important Threads" sections right above each species type. We don't have care sheets for all species, but for some. I look at the Tortoise Trust site for care sheets that we don't have, and at Mary at the Turtle Puddle's site for box and water turtles.

No one can tell you EVERYTHING about EVERY species. But! You can read the threads that I posted to your other thread!

Start by telling us where you live, so we can suggest a species that will do well there...in another thread, you mentioned Russian and Hermann's tortoises (two excellent and generally hardy choices for "newbies", btw, if your area is not too wet or too dry) and I think you mentioned Egyptians (not a good choice for newbies, as these are a bit more delicate and do best in lower humidity locations (like their homeland, which, over the course of many, many centuries, they've adapted to).

A bit of intense research will help you find a species that's great for you, and this is the place to get good advice!

We're here to help!
