Target, Kmart, Sears and Walmart usually have digital "kitchen" scales in stock.

Its worth the trouble to get it as weight can give us clues to figuring this thing out, and its also useful to chart the weight as a diagnostic tool down the road.

Hey Tom quick question.... What does it mean when the shell is a little soft? The bottom side. I attached a picture

At that size, its normal for the plastron to have a little "give" to it. It should feel sort of like the lid of a plastic butter tub.

It should not feel squishy, or spongey.
