Yes. In a sink or a pan with tall sides. Use a little warm water. NOT HOT. Enough to come up to more than halfway up the shell and let them soak for 20 minutes or so.
Do this a few times a week. More often if they are in a dry environment.

No. No scrubbing. Their shells are sensitive.
