Can a male be kept with female RF?

I've done this before..And it worked for years. However, I'm concerned that this might be the exception:
Yesterday, I introduced my new male into the group of three females and he did nothing but cluck, chase and mount them for hours. Eventually, I removed him so that they all could rest.
Will he settle down and blend in or do some males need to be housed in a bachelor pad? I have the room and the extra pen to do just that, but I'd like them all to be one harmonious group.
I'm going to place him back into the females pen when I get home today, but I expect the same to happen.

They just need time to adjust. Keep introducing in monitored sections and see how it goes.
