Cali Nelson!!

For those of you who don't know, Nelson and I moved from Chicago to California two days ago. He is lovin' life.

He quickly recovered from his traumatizing journey in a box and has spent the past two days running around the patio.

I let him explore the grass area outside of our fenced in patio. Now he keeps trying to escape to go back.

He doesn't even mind sharing the patio with a bike! (He ODed on calcium this morning, please excuse his white face!)

Hoping to build some sort of pen this weekend...I might need to start a new thread for ideas.

Tom- it feels like home! Chicago has been brutally hot this summer. I've heard this is unusually hot for SoCal though.

Yes it is hotter than normal right now. Interesting thing about Southern CA is that there are tremendous weather and climate condition fluctuations even within a very short driving distance. It can be 112 at my place and within 45 minutes I can drive to several places where temps are in the 70's. In about an hour and a half I can be in the mountains and two hours from then I can be at the beach.

Where you are is usually pretty mild weather. The extremes don't get quite as high or quite as low as some areas. Plus, as you are probably noticing, there is hardly ever any humidity to speak of.

I'm so glad to hear your here in California Katie. I just love Nelson threads and pictures too. The weather is the same as it's always been in California. I don't think it's as hot as I'm used to this time of year, thank goodness! Why did you move? Are you relocating for a job? Nelson will be much happier here. If you ever need a babysitter I'm in Alhambra if that's anywhere close to you.
