I have this cactus in my yard, it was a very old and large plant that collapsed after a storm a more tahna year ago. These are the young paddles growing, I am assuming that it is a very safe plant, but I just want to be sure...

The picture is a little blurry, but it looks like opuntia to me.

they are very nice.....my mouth is watering at that spineless cactus also...

Nice...aloe and spineless opuntia in the same garden! BTW...do yourself a flavor and sample one of those pads for yourself...RAW! They are yummy!
